Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Reaches $26 Million in Sales

Opening late 2010, Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach is celebrating its continued success as the project surpassed current real estate market expectations with 18 residences closed in the past 11 months. The developer, Poipu Beach Villas, LLC, completed Phase One last year with five residential buildings, consisting of 85 fully-furnished luxury condominiums, a grand lobby area and two lagoon-style pools. Bill Child, the propertys main investor, explained, Because of the financial strength of our development group and the principal investors, our project is nearly debt free. This puts Koloa Landing in a great position as we move forward.

Since the official opening of Koloa Landing Wyndham Grand, the resort has exceeded its occupancy projections by approximately 20% during late summer and early fall and is anticipating very strong occupancy numbers in the fourth quarter, as well as early 2012.

Layton Construction, the General Contractor, has started work on Phase Two of the project with new construction of Building One East. Phase Two will ultimately include the main pool and surrounding amenities along with four residential buildings totaling an additional 62 residences. The main pool area will incorporate 10,000 sq. feet of swimmable area, waterfalls, a grotto, water slide, sand bottom keiki (childrens) lagoon and multiple hot tubs.

What to Take to the Beach in the Summer Heat

Going to the beach is an enjoyable activity, whether you are going by yourself, going with a friend or going with the entire family. The worst thing is to arrive at the beach and realize you’ve forgotten the necessary items you need. By planning ahead and knowing what you need for your time at the beach, you’ll have a great day.

The beach attracts many people. Some like to go for a swim to cool off. Some prefer to find a shaded spot and read a book and some even doze off. Children especially love to play in the sand and build sand castles. Whatever draws you to the beach, be sure to take what you need.

Five Free Things to Do In Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach, Florida is a great family vacation destination. It is less crowded than the better known Daytona Beach, or Saint Augustine. In fact, our family goes to the area two or three times a year for a long weekend. One might think that we would run out of places to go and things to do there, but we find the town to be relaxing, safe and family friendly. We have found these trips can be inexpensive and fun. In fact, here are five free things to do in Cocoa Beach!

Watch the Cruise Ships Leave.  Port Canaveral is on the way in to the city, and these huge structures are amazing to see, especially for kids. Everyday around four o’clock, a cruise ship sets sail.  By stopping at the park located in the port (where the public boat ramps are), the whole family can see these enormous ships and the tiny people on them. This a fine place to get ideas for future vacations

Check Out the Catch of the Day. After waving goodbye to the ships, there are several restaurants and charter fishing stands next to the park.  Those boats come in around five. We found this the first time we came, and never miss it. Take a look and see what was caught that day, and see how they are cleaned. Join the pelicans and other watchers who are interested in what’s happening. Last time we were there, squid, lobster, barracuda, and a shark were brought in.

Go to the Beach.  While this may seem obvious, Cocoa Beach has several great things going for it. There are great waves, and on many days, surfers can be watched as they ride them in. The beach, even on the Fourth of July is really not over crowded. That being said, arrive early to get good parking. Aircraft from two nearby Air Force bases are seen all along the coast. Kids will enjoy seeing the flying billboards and seeing the shipping traffic.

                                                                               

Window Shop. Cocoa beach is the Home to the famous Ron Jon’s surf shop, while next door is the Cocoa Beach Surf Company. Both are neat places to check out surf boards, a shark tank, and all sorts of touristy goodness. Around the corner from these places is The Dinosaur Store. This place has tons of fossils and casts of every boy’s favorite animal. Additional shopping is to be found all over, and a mall, Merritt Square is ten minutes away.

Watch a Rocket Launch. This area of Florida is known as “The Space Coast”.  This place has great places to watch a rocket or the space shuttle take off into space. After checking with the online launch schedule, head to the park at the Port Canaveral, or back to the beach. From there, look north. Once the launch happens, you can see the flame and smoke very clearly. Then the booming sound comes. It is thrilling and exciting sight to see.

 

A short vacation in Cocoa Beach can be as enjoyable as you make it. These tips cost nothing, and become the basis for family stories you and your children will remember for years. Hallandale Beach

Hallandale Beach is named in honor of Luther Halland who was its founder. Halland was working for Henry Flagler during the late 19th century and was asked to go to Florida and create a settlement near a town known as Dania Beach.

In 1900 Halland and a small group of hardy, adventurous souls put down roots in a coastal community that would become Hallandale Beach.

 

The warm weather, swaying palm trees, crisp ocean breezes and sandy shoreline made this beachfront city a popular site for residents as well as tourists. Today Hallandale Beach is home to more than 30,000 people and in the winter months the population swells to 40,000+.

 

Tourists visit the city throughout the year as there is always something interesting to do, see or explore. Many of the vacationing visitors and “snowbirds” who flock to this area come from the northern US and Canada.

After all this is the perfect place to be when you want to avoid winter’s cold temperatures and bitter winds. Wintertime in Florida is an extremely pleasant experience with sunny skies and warm weather.

 

With an enviable location that borders the Atlantic Ocean, Hallandale Beach is a prime place for those who want to try their hand at diving, swimming or surfing. Kayaks, canoes and sailboats are all available for rent in the area and instructors will provide you with the help you need to feel at home on the water.
