Oahu Vacation Package – Enjoy Your Trip to Honolulu

With around 875,000 people, Honolulu is the most populated Hawaiian Island. It’s population is almost three-fourths of the entire States. With a land mass of 597 Sq, miles Oahu ranks third amongst the Hawaiian Islands.

Honolulu has pleasant weather throughout the year. The temperature ranges from 72-84 degrees. June through October, are the warmest months, with the hottest weather in August.

You can get around Oahu easily by bus, car rental, taxi or even walking. The main avenues are easy to locate and are typically safe, especially in and around Waikiki as the beach has a police station. It is better to be careful with your valuables and not to leave them unattended on the beach, since thefts have been reported. Don’t leave your valuables in your hotel either. If you really need to carry valuables use a waterproof money belt that you may carry while swimming too.

A storage locker will be a good option.

If you love to surf, then you are in the right place. There is no better place to surf in other than the northern shores of Oahu. The north shore is world renowned for surfing as the waves easily cross 25 feet in the winter months. Make it a point to consult with the lifeguards on duty, before you go swimming. The popular beaches on North Shore are Ali’I Beach Park, Waimea Bay Beach, KeWa’ena Beach, Ehukai Beach Park and Sunset Beach Park.

There is a lot you can do besides swimming and lazing on the beaches, when in Honolulu. You could visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial, to learn more about the infamous Japanese Attack which changed the course of World War ll. If you are more into local history and culture, then the Polynesian Cultural Center is definitely worth a visit.

You can learn more about the island culture, the people, their food and their lives.

If you love the water, you could try a romantic cruise during sunset or may be even a submarine ride. You could even go snorkeling in the Hanauma Bay, to enjoy a swim with colorful tropical fish. If you love to pack your vacations with action you can go horse riding, parasailing, diving, hike the Diamond Head Mountain, visit the Sea Life Park or if you are really adventurous you could try going under inside a shark cage. Following an action packed day, what’s better than to sit back and watch a pacific sunset and end the day with an invigorating night show of your choice.

You can enjoy a trip to Honolulu irrespective of the fact that you are by yourself or in company of others. A perfect family vacation destination, a romantic honey moon destination, the Honolulu is what you want to it to be. It could even be the perfect place to ask your partner to spend the rest of her life with you, better still get married on the lovely beaches here. Celebrate a honeymoon or an anniversary, the romance of this place will enhance your experience beyond your expectations.

So pack your bags and spend your next vacations in Honolulu.

Kauai Vacation Rentals

The Hawaiian Islands are pretty old, but Kauai has the distinct honor of being the oldest. It’s still a beauty, though, and you will be hard pressed to find a lovelier spot for a getaway. Kauai rental homes, cottages and condos will make the stay all that more perfect. The garden isle is stunningly green, yet surrounded by perfectly white sand beaches and blue waters of the pacific. Your Kauai vacation rental home can be fond either inland or on the coast. This site will guide you through the details of finding that perfect getaway. Although it is only 550 square miles in size, Kauai has distinct areas from which to choose – There are North Shore rentals, South Shore rentals, West Side or East Side rentals or Lihue rental homes, condos or cottages. Pick your location, than pick your amenities. If you want to “rough it” (this is a bit difficult in Paradise) choose a simple beach cottage and head to the water.

If you are looking to live like King Kamehameha, go upscale and look to Kauai rentals that offer hot tubs, stunning views, covered lanais, designer decor and gourmet kitchens. No matter which style you choose, all Kauai vacation rentals come with complete furnishings, functioning kitchens and linen service. This site will help you find exactly what you need, including reputable management companies to take the worry out of your Kauai vacation rental.

Kauai is loaded with Hawaiian history, culture and entertainment, so learn the hula while you’re there. Take a helicopter ride over the “garden isle’ and discover the mountains, waters and canyons by air. Hike to a waterfall and just stare at the kaleidoscope of sunlit colors cascading off the rocks. Go whale watching (during the winter) fish, golf, play tennis, eat.

Have a Mai Tai. Eat again. Surf, snorkel, scuba dive. Sit in the sun and give yourself props for planning such a great vacation. You are already thinking like a local by choosing a Kauai rental condo, home or cottage; now experience some island life like you actually live here. For instance, the best way to find an un-crowded beach is to ask a surfer. There is one secret beach that is located on the North Shore off Kalihiwai Road. You will definitely need to ask a local for directions. True to its name, on most days you’ll share it with less than 10 people. Explore the warm lava rock pools and once again, pat yourself on the back for a job well done. This is about as private as you can get on Kauai and is a perfect place to grab some unpopulated pictures. Ask any construction worker or other outdoor laborer and they will tell you that the noodle shops are the place to go for a great cheap lunch. In Kapa’a on the East Side of Kauai, ask for directions to a local noodle shop. You can enjoy authentic Saimin noodles for under $ 5, while sitting next to really large Hawaiian construction worker eating the same meal. Not a normal tourist activity. Skip Waimea Canyon one day and take a dirt road to Polihale on the West Side. Make sure you rent a jeep and have good insurance, just in case. There is so much to do on Kauai, and so little time. Book your Kauai vacation rental home, condo or cottage for next year before you leave the island, and make plans for another unforgettable luxury Hawaiian Island vacation experience.

How to save on travel costs while not cutting the fun.

Travel costs can be cut drastically if you are more interested in having fun than living in the lap of luxury.  We travel on vacations for two basic reasons, to escape our daily lives, or to do something different.  If you are more interested in a luxury hotel than doing exciting things, then spend your money that way.  However, if you really, really wanna have some fun in the sun, doing things like scuba diving, hiking along active volcanic rims, zip-lining over lush rain forests, or whatever else interests you and your travel mates, save your money for the funner things in life.

If you can live with staying in cheaper accommodations, and forego your 5-star hotel’s luxurious rooms and the extra staff, all of whom expect tips for over-priced goods and services, you can stay at a cheaper, 2-star hotel and use the savings to have loads of fun!

In order to make up for some of the hardships of staying in a sub-primma donna hotel, You could bring your own 1,000 thread count, Egyption cotton bed sheets with you, in order to keep up the finer part of sleeping, which makes staying at a cheaper hotel, or, yes, even a motel.  Hopefully, if the weather helps out and the stars align with Venus, you will not be spending much more time in your room than to sleep, eat, shower and change anyways.

Sure, it’s nice to stay at the Waldorf, but sometimes it’s better to stay at a Howard Johnson’s, and use the saved money for deep-sea fishing excursions, whale watching, scuba diving, jeep or motorcycle rentals and whatever else is popular for where you are vacationing.  While you are in the savings mood, there are other ways to cut travel costs without cutting fun, more savings to be made to have even more money for the funner things in life.

If you have already decided that a rental vehicle will be required for your vacation, whether as the means of getting to your destination, or for use while at your destination, like Hawaii, you can rent an older, cheaper vehicle.  Hey, if it breaks down, you get a replacement anyways, right?  You can buy a map, a compass and use your phone’s GPS application to map out a great hike, as opposed to hiring a guide, or taking the dreaded guided tour.

Having more fun while traveling can be accomplished near home as well, with a camping trip to a nearby State or Provincial Park, private campground, or at that backwoods spot your grandparents used to camp at.  For the cost of a cruise, or a week at Disney World, you could rent an RV and travel the country, from the Rockies to the Grand Canyon, or even down to Central America.  Instead of flying over America, you get to live it.

When the idea is to have fun while vacationing, not to travel halfway around the world just to stay in a fancy hotel and stay there for the whole vacation, sometimes that means having to stay in less fancy hotels, eating in cheaper restaurants and fast-food joints, renting wrecks and spending your vacation money on where you have fun, not where you sleep.

Have fun.  Travel safe, travel informed.

Traveling tips: Why you should travel internationally

Traveling is on everyone’s list. People love to travel. People wait all their life until one day they have money to go everywhere. Traveling abroad is more fun than traveling locally. You always want to go to places you’ve never been before. Traveling to Europe, Hawaii or Asia is always a good choice. Each country has their own attractions and features. Traveling around your country can always wait because it’s easier to travel at home than it is in a foreign country.

It takes more time and requirement to travel abroad. You will need at least a week or two of your time for an international trip whereas when you’re at home you can travel to a nearby state for the weekend and can still fly back home in time for work. You will need to make a passport to travel abroad whereas you don’t need this traveling around your country.
People usually travel abroad when they have a vacation time. It’s rare for anyone to have several weeks off of work unless they’re a business owner. Therefore when people actually receive this vacation time they will most likely prefer to use it to travel abroad.

It gets even harder when people have children. They want to be able to go with their spouse and have someone watch their kids and do everything that needs to be done with their children. Traveling without your children is tough. Sometimes you have the weeks off but your children may be in school. Sometimes you just don’t want them to travel with you because it’s too much responsibility.

People often have to put out a lot of time to really execute that one really far getaway. It gets more difficult as you have more children. Therefore you should do all of your traveling before you have children. Children are a big restrain for everyone. Most people even regret not traveling before they have children because after having children they just couldn’t go anywhere else. Therefore whenever people get a chance they’ll always want to travel abroad. It’s fascinating and it’s something totally new. It’s the experience abroad that they can’t get at home.

Some people are looking forward to visit the jungle in Africa or some people want to surf in Hawaii and  none of that can be replaced at home or here in the US. You can still surf at Huntington Beach but it’s not the same as surfing in Hawaii because the views are fantastic and the people are different. The foods and customs are a treat too.

Art lovers like to travel to Europe because they are the best when it comes to art display. The architecture there is amazing and the fashions there are even better. People watches and sight seeing is something that you have to experience. Hearing people speak French or Italian is music to the ear. The total experience is so much more relaxing and enjoying than traveling locally. You pretty much just know about almost of everything that is going on around your country. You have seen it on TV. You have been around and there’s not much to discover in your local areas as you would abroad.

An Introduction to Kauai Vacation

A Hawaiian trip is one of the most exhilarating experiences for any person in the globe. The 51st state of America features a lot of rich culture and history that will surely give you an unforgettable stay. A Kauai vacation is considered a top choice because of the various beautiful sights as well as the traditions that make it one majestic island. Find out more about the place especially its unique layout and geography.

About the Island

The name Kauai probably originated from Hawai’iloa, the Polynesian explorer who is known to have discovered Hawaii. Hawai’iloa was said to have a favorite son whom he named the island after. It also translates to “food season” or “place around the neck” just as how a father would lift his favorite child. The population in the island ranges over 60,000. The United States Census Bureau defines Kauai as Census Tracts 401 to 409. This includes all of Kauai County except for the islands Lehua, Ni’ihau and Ka’ula.

Kauai or Kaua’i is the oldest and fourth largest main island in the Hawaiian archipelago. It is also the 21st largest island in America which lies 105 miles across the Kaua’i Channel, just northwest of O’ahu. It is also called “Garden Isle” with blooming flora and fauna, great weather and captivating volcanoes.

The island is of volcanic origin with Kawaikini the highest peak standing at 5,243 feet and Mount Wai’ale’ale at the center of Kauai at 5,148 feet. It is one of the wettest places in the plant with annual rainfall resulting to deep valleys, canyons and waterfalls.

Lihue Airport is the main air transportation hub of the island. There are several towns and cities all over Kauai but majority of the distinctive ones are located from the northern tip of Hawaii Route 560 to the western end of Hawaii Route 50. Some popular places include Kapa’a, Lihu’e, Wailua, Princeville, Hanalei, Hanapepe, Kilauea, Lawa’i and Anahola.

Kauai resembles the shape of an almost perfect circle over an area of 552 square miles. The location provides warm waters from the Pacific Ocean as well as great temperature any time of the year. About half of the shoreline of the island is comprised of Kauai vacation beaches. You can expect to find some very rare species of animals and plants both on and off shore such as bamboo, orchid, hibiscus, sandalwood, eucalyptus, java plum, kiawe, iwi, nene goose, sea turtle, whale, dolphin and humuhumunukunukuapuaa.

What to Expect

You get to enjoy several open and commercial beaches all across the island as well as the vast richness of marine life. Hiking is another great Kauai vacation activity because of its mountainous regions specifically the Waimea Canyon or the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” rising up to 4,000 feet. Another popular site is the Napali Coast featuring captivating coastline views, free-flowing waterfalls, secret sea caves and tall cliffs.

Enjoy the tropical weather of a Kauai vacation all-year round. Temperatures also drop later in the afternoon for cooler nights. There are micro-climates on the island wherein both lush and dry areas exist Mount Waialeale has a beautiful rainforest having more than 400 inches of rain per year.

Other areas usually have sunny days and warm breezes and surrounding sites around the peak are generally unaffected by the rain. Coastal spots have an average of 18 inches of rain annually. Rainfall usually occurs at night.
